Der Vorgang bei Abschluß, Erfüllung und Klassifikation der Termin-
geschäfte in Baumwolle ist einheitlich für die Vereinigten Staaten
von Amerika zuletzt durch den U. St. Cotton Futures Act vom
4. März 1919 geregelt worden. Das Kontraktformular eines Future
delivery business folgt nachstehend.
„Section five contract für Future delivery of Cotton an der New Orleans
Cotton Exchange:

In consideration of one dollar in hand paid, receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, . ...........«.Of the City of New Orleans, State of
Lovisiana, have this day sold to (or bought from) . 000000000
of the City of New Orleans, State of Lowisiana, 50.000 pounds, in about
100 square bales of cotton, growth of the United States, deliverable from
approved storage places for cotton in the Port of New Orleans, between the
Jirst and last days of ......... next, inclusive, excepting holidays as
provided in Kule 38 of the Rules of the New Orleans Cotton Exchange for
the transaction of the Future Contract business?®),
The delivery within such time to be at seller’s option in not, more than
two approved storage places, upon five business days’ notice to the buyer, as
provided by the Rules of the New Orleans Cotton Exchange.
The cotton to be dealt within herein or delivered hereunder shall be
of, or within, the grades for which standards are established by the Secretary
of Agriculture, except cotton prohibited from being delivered on a contract
by the fifth subdivision of Section 5 of the United States Cotton Futures Act?*),
as amended March 4th, 1919, and no other grade or grades (subject to the
United States Cotton Futures Act, Section 5, and inspection and classification
as provided in amendement to the United States Cotton Futures Act of March
4th, 1919) at the price Of ......... Cents per pound for Middling.
In case cotton of grade other than the basis grade should be delivered
or tendered in settlement of this contract, the differences above or below the
contract price which the receiver shall pay for such grades, other than the
basis grade, shall be the actual commercial differences determined as provided
in Section 6 of the United States Cotton Futures Act, and the Amendement
of March 4 tn, 1919.
KEither party shall have the right to call for a margin as the varia-
tions of the market for like deliveries may warrant and which margin shall
be kept good.
This contract is made in view of, and in all respects subject to, the
United States Cotton Futures Act, Section 5, as amended March 4 th 1919,
and to the By-Laws, Rules and conditions, not in conflict therewith, established
by the New Orleans Cotton Exchange.“
