HISTORY: Incorporated under laws of Delaware, July 1, 1920. The company
had its corporate inception as the Pacific Coast Condensed Milk Co., incorpor-
ated in Washington, December 21, 1900, and reincorporated under laws of Maine,
Oct. 1, 1910. Name changed to Carnation Milk Products Co., Feb. 2, 1916.
The business was founded in 1899 by E. A. Stuart, with the operation of a
small milk condensary at Kent, Wash.
In 1929, through exchange of stock, the company acquired assets and busi-
ness of the Albers Bros. Milling Co. on the basis of 21 shares of Carnation Com-
mon for each share of Albers Preferred, and 2 shares Carnation Common for each
share of Albers Common.
BUSINESS: A holding and operating company, manufacturing and selling evap-
orated and condensed milk, malted milk, powdered milk, other milk products,
fluid milk, ice cream and cereals.

Twenty-five fresh milk or ice cream plants are located in Washington, Ore-
gon, California, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Iowa.
Two can factories are located at Oconomowoc, Wisc, and Maysville, Ky.,
while two can plants are in Europe, one in France and one in Germany.
Company through affiliated companies owns and operates four plants in
Europe, two in Holland, one in Germany and one in France.
General laboratories are maintained at Oconomowoc. Wis.; Corry, Penn. and
Mount Vernon, Wash.
Three cereal mills. located in Oregon. Washington and California.
