2 The consignment thereof is accompanied by a certificate,
under the Seal of either of the Boards of Agriculture of
England, Scotland, and Ireland that no case of wart
disease has been reported within a radius of five miles
from the place where the tubers thereof were grown, and

oath by the consignor thereof that all the tubers of such
seed potatoes were grown in the place mentioned in the
certificate.
d) Citrus trees and citrus fruits other than citrus fruit grown
on the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba—Citrus canker.
(¢) Gooseberry and currant. Stocks or cuttings—Mite—
American mildew.
(f) Sugar Cane—DBorer; mosaic; general fungoid diseases.
(g) Blackthorn and barberry—Rusts.
(h) Onion and Leek Seed—Smut.
(i) Vines and vitaceae—Phylloxera.
()) Tea seeds or plants. -
For general reasons, as tea planting is comparatively new
to the Colony.
“v Coffee plants whether living or dead, coffee beans or coffee
(except roasted coffee beans, ground coffee and coffee
extract). This prohibition shall not extend to:—
1) Coffee plant, coffee beans, and coffee imported for
transit through the Colony, which may be so imported
subject to the following conditions: —
1) Coffee plants, coffee beans, and coffee must be
securely packed in cases or in double bags of
substantial sacking, separately sealed to the
satisfaction of the Director of Agriculture and the
Commissioner of Customs.
(1) Every case or cover containing such plant, bean,
or coffee must be sealed or stencilled in a prominent
position thereon by a Customs Officer showing the
country of origin and the place of importation, and
no such case or cover shall thereafter be opened
within the Colony.
(111) Should any case or cover containing such plants,
beans, or coffee become so damaged in course of
transit through the Colony as to render it possible
for any such plant, bean, or coffee to escape there-
from, it may, at the discretion of the Director of
Agriculture, be destroyed. No compensation shall
be payable in respect of such destruction.
(2) Trade samples of coffee beans or coffee, not exceeding
one half pound in weight, imported through the
Department of Agriculture.
Any coffee plant, coffee bean or coffee imported in
contravention of this clause shall be liable to be
detained and destroyed or otherwise dealt with as the
Director of Agriculture mav direct.
