facie evidence of any of tlie following particulars entered 
therein : 
(a.) Tlie names, addresses, and occupations of the 
members, the number of shares held by them 
respectively, the numbers of such shares, if they 
are distinguished by numbers, and the amount 
paid or agreed to be considered as paid on any 
such shares : 
(b.) The date at which the name of any person, com 
pany, or society was entered in such register or 
list as a member: 
(c.) The date at which any such person, company, or 
society ceased to be a member. 
(12.) Contracts, liow made.—Contracts on behalf of the 
society may be made, varied, or discharged as follows :— 
(a.) Any contract, which if made between private persons 
would be by law required to be in writing, and if 
made according to the English law to be under 
seal, may be made on behalf of the society in 
writing under the common seal of the society, 
and may in the same maimer be varied or 
discharged : 
(&.) Any contract, which if made between private per 
sons would be by law required to be in writing 
and signed by the persons to be charged therewith, 
may be made on behalf of the society in writing 
by any person acting under the express or implied 
authority of the society, and may in the same 
manner be varied or discharged : 
(c.) Any contract under seal, which if made between 
private persons might be varied or discharged at 
law or in equity by a writing not under seal 
signed by any person interested therein, may be 
similarly varied or discharged on behalf of the 
society by a writing not under seal signed by 
any person acting under the express or implied
