on the state of the motor vehicle trade, and the distribution of the exports 
from these countries will depend very largely on their position in the 
markets for their motor vehicles, 
8. The almost complete lack of standardisation in the rubber industry 
vitiates any comparisons—particularly those based on numbers of articles 
—as total figures furnish no indication of the quality of the .goods. Tt 
is on the quality of the goods it can produce that the efficiency of the 
industry depends.
