In the case of a vessel being 
driven in by stress of weather, 
run aground or wrecked, the 
respective consular officer shall, 
if the owner or master or other 
agent of the owner is not present, 
or is present and requires it, be 
authorised to take steps in order 
to afford the necessary assistance 
to his fellow-countrymen. 
ARTICLE 27. 
It shall be free to each of the 
High Contracting Parties to 
appoint consuls-general, consuls, 
vice-consuls, and consular agents 
bo reside in the towns and ports 
of the territories of the other 
Party to which such representa- 
tives of any other nation may 
be admitted by the respective 
Governments. Such consuls- 
general, consuls, vice-consuls, and 
consular agents, however, shall 
not enter upon their functions 
until after they shall have been 
approved and admitted in the 
usual form by the Government 
to which they are sent. 
The consular officers of one of 
the High Contracting Parties 
shall enjoy in the territories of 
the other Party the same official 
rights, privileges and exemptions, 
provided reciprocity be granted, 
as are, or may be, accorded to 
similar officers of any other 
foreign country. 
ARTICLE 28. 
In all that concerns the ad- 
ministration of the estates of 
deceased persons, any right, 
privilege, favour or immunity 
which either High Contracting 
Party has actually granted, or 
may hereafter grant, to the con- 
sular officers of any other foreign 
country shall be extended imme- 
diately and unconditionally to the 
consular officers of the other 
High Contracting Party.

ArTICOLUL 27. 
Fiecare dintre Inaltele Parti 
Contractante va avea dreptul sd 
numeascd consuli generali, con- 
suli, vice-consuli §i agenti con- 
sulari cu resedinfa in oragele gi 
sorturile din teritoriile celeilalte 
Pir{i, in care asemenea repre- 
rentanti ai oricdrei alte nafiuni 
sot fi admisi de guvernele re- 
jpective. Acesti consuli general, 
sonsuli, vice-consuli si agenti 
sonsulari, insi, nu vor intra in 
‘unctiune decit dupd aprobarea 
si admiterea lor, in formele 
azuale, de cAtre guvernul pe langd 
care sunt trimisi 
Autorititile consulare ale uneia 
dintre Inaltele Parfi Contractante 
vor beneficia pe teritoriile celeil- 
alte Pirgi, de aceleagi drepturi 
sficiale, privilegii si scutiri, cu 
sondifia reciprocitifii, care sunt 
acordate sau vor fi acordate ace- 
loragi funcionari ai oricirui alt 
stat strain. 
ARTICOLUL 28. , 
In tot ce priveste adminis- 
srarea averilor persoanelor dece- 
late, orice drept, privilegiu, 
wvantagiu sau imunitate, care a 
‘ost sau care va fi fost acordat 
le cAtre Inaltele Pirti Contrac- 
ante functionarilor consulari ai 
yricirui alt stat striin, se vor 
:xtinde imediat si neconditionat 
functionarilor consulari ai celeil-
